Emile is a lovely website, I especially like the section about how SLT can support mental well being.  Unfortunately, we know about how important it is and I hope someone from SLT in our schools sees it too but they also have a work/life balance section which we can use here.  Click here to go to the website.  The article talks about looking after ourselves through sleeping well and saving Friday night for yourself.  It also talks about taking up a hobby (mine is sewing and it is a great way to distract me and calm me down after a stressful day or week).  Take a look for yourself.

The Samaritan website has some amazing resources.  This one is a lesson about managing stress and understanding when something is out of your control or when your stress has become uncontrollable.  I have the 3 workshops ready to download, although the images below centres on the first session.  There is also a person outline for download to go with the first session.  Have a go at this session on your own and if you like it, have a look at the others.

A really useful article from https://www.healthyyoungmindsinherts.org.uk/.  It looks through 10 ways you can boost your emotional wellbeing and mental health.  The ten ways are: food and mood, keep active, drink sensibly, express yourself, distract yourself, ask for help, learn to take time out and relax, do something you enjoy, remember your good points and self-help.  If you would like to read the article in more detail click here

If you are not sure whether you have an anxiety disorder or not and would like to read more to make an informed decision then this is a great site.  Rethink Mental Illness has a page describing the signs and symptoms of anxiety so that you can assess yourself definitively and deal with it if you do.  They outline the many anxiety disorders that exist and have a real life story from Ali to read.  The site looks in detail at what these disorders look like and is very clear and easy to use.  I was very impressed with it.  Click here to go to the full article.
